Nice contrast of pared down and elegant with high ceilings, exposed pipes, chandeliers and polished cement floors. This restaurant has some of the best bread I have ever had, and tasty fresh olive oil for dipping. A great place to go for wine and tapas, or for a full on dinner. The menu has a varied and extensive selection of cured meats and cheeses, as well as an impressive selection of wines, which makes for endless possibilities of pairings and combinations. It's a nice place to sample and taste. more

I love this place!!!! 12/2/2010

Bin No. 18 offers a great selection of imported beer, wine and cheese. \r Me and my boyfriend are fans of their cheese plate. I highly recommend the pecorino tartufato when you make your selection. The cheese plate includes olives and a paste made with artichoke and another one made with figs (my favorite!!!!). \r The menu is delicious. I highly recommend the rice balls, the scallps, and the salad with figs. \r The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and they are very friendly and treat you great. I've been to this place many times and have always enjoyed it. I always look forward to my next visit.\r \r If I had to say something negative about the place, it would be that the acoustic indoors is not suitable for a nice conversation.\r \r Don't let the messed up traffic along Biscayne Blvd, due to construction work, discourage you from going to Bin No. 18. It is very well worth it. Bin No. 18 has parking one block away, so parking is not a hassle for its customers. What more can you ask for? more

As I read over some of the other reviews, I realize that some people don't "get" this restaurant. \r \r Bin No 18 is not your usual American-style eatery. This is the European tradition of slow, conversation-oriented dining -- the finest I have found at it's price point.\r \r We visited Bin No 18 for my wife's birthday. Four of us spent a leisurely four hours eating, drinking, talking and laughing. It was a wonderful evening. \r \r We started with a bottle of white wine and a tabla, a cutting board of cheese, meats, bread and other accompaniments. This wonderful charcuterie plate is a great starter and pairs well with most wines. If you get stuck with the tabla options, the wait staff is very knowledgeable. \r \r Safia, our waitress was a ninja. Water glasses would magically refill and she'd appear the moment I wanted something. She is witty and has a keen nose for wines.\r \r After the tabla, the ladies shared a salad and the men enjoyed burger sliders. We also ordered a light red wine to pair with the food. \r \r Finally we ordered our main courses. I enjoyed the sage roasted chicken and everyone else also had good things to say. Of course, we ordered another two bottles of wine. \r \r All in all, the evening was no where near as expensive as it should have been. The food was excellent and well prepared. Safia was amazing and provided some of the best service I have ever received. \r \r My only concern is that the construction on Biscayne Blvd is getting very close to their restaurant. When that happens, they will need a miracle to stay in business. \r \r I recommend you visit this restaurant soon. more

Can go healthy, can go not, or walk the fine line of moderation - the staff is knowledgable, friendly and the cooks can really work with you to get what you want. We sat at the bar and they were even all friendly back there! Will go back to soon for sure. more

Went last night again and had a great experience. We started with a cheese tray including Brie, a sheep cheese with truffle shavings, olives, artichoke truffle, quince and fig reduction...in a word: it was the bomb! We downed all of that along with some wine and moved on to our entrees. I had the grilled scallops with spinach and truffle vinagrette, my dinner mates went for the risotto balls and ravioli. The portions seemed perfect to me, everything tasted great, and it was not too expensive. Our server had a great sense of humor and made useful recommendations...all in all it was a great experience and I will go back! more

I liked the menu, the concept, and the space. The food was great, and I will definitely be back. more

I agree that this is good in concept. The food is okay and menu limited. Not a place for a 'meal'. Where this place stands out is the wine and beer selection. Very large selections from all over the world. You don't go for a budlight here. Nice decor. The bar is is in the back. Weekly wine and beer tastings can be fun. Overall prices are a little to high. I'll give it the benfit of doubt based on the excellent wine and beer selection. more

After passing by this cute little loft style cafe, I decided to give a try one night. The the atmosphere was quiet, the restaurant had to much space for such a small amount of tables. It made you feel lonely. The menu was a fairly easy simple concept, different platters with different cuts of meat, cheeses, fruits and vegetables that you would likely share with friends. This sounds great, but if your hungry you wont be happy with the portions served and the prices are too high. It is sad to see such a place open up and try something new and fail. Hopefully they will modify their dinner menu. more
