I am so disappointed in this Vet office. I brought my dog in for a breathing issue. A day later and $1200 later they had absolutely no answer for me they wanted to cut a hole in her neck and place a tube to make her breath. I took her to a different vet and within 10 min they knew exactly what was wrong with her and said that Bend Vet Clinic did a poor job and should have been able to diagnose her. Her symptoms were obvious. I will never set foot in this office again. And will make sure that all of my friends and family never put there pets lives at risk by letting that Incompetent vet anywhere near them again. I am so disappointed. This used to be a competent clinic. more

Extremely disappointed. Brought our 14 year old cat here when we discovered a large draining abcess on his lower jaw. Drove across town to be at the clinic at 07:30 for 'urgent care' as advertised on their website. We were assured the 'Doctor would be in around 10"" I called at noon to see what was going on and was told the doctor was 'finishing up some procedures' and would see our cat soon. I called again at 1 pm and talked to Dr. Kinnear, who had STILL not seen our cat but assured me he had been medicated for pain, that she was sorry but had been doing 'emergency surgeries'. What? No labs had been drawn and he was not seen for OVER FIVE HOURS. With a big abcess on his jaw. Picked up our cat at 4 pm and the front desk staff were 'sorry about the confusion, but they had been short-staffed all day.' Fortunately the infection was localized and our cat survived the experience but if you need 'urgent' care don't go here. more

Had my dog fixed at Bend Vet, and she was in so much pain afterwards, she would not eat for several days. All she did was cry. It was awful. When I called them to tell them how painful my dog was, they told me that she was just being too sensitive. I went to another vet for second opinion and they gave me two different pain drugs for her and it made a big difference! I will never go back to bend vet again. more

Best Vet Office 8/13/2010

This office and doctors have been excellent. I've used this office for 3 years and have only great things to say. Even when I ask the most silly questions they take me very serious. It feels like they really care of my pets. I have 2 dogs and cat that I take here. I recommend this office to all my friends and family. They send me updates reminders for shots properly. more

I prefer a vet that cares about my dog 2/1/2010

I was uncomfortable returning to Dr. Maas because my dog is important to me. He misdiagnosed my dog and treated him for the wrong illness. When I switched vets and my dog was treated properly, the new vet found that Dr. Maas’ chart notes included no dates for my dog’s treatment. Also, someone had written “Rabies?” He saw my dog how many times and never asked me if my dog had an up-to-date rabies shot, or wonder if he might be due for one? I do not trust my dog with this clinic! Cons: Not very good or very thorough more

I have been taking my toy poodle to the Bend Veterinary Clinic for several years. They have very qualified staff and surgeons. They've taken care of everything from meds to knee surgery. I feel very comfortable leaving my dog with them, knowing he'll be given the best of care. more

BEST Veterinary Clinic in all of Oregon!!! 8/17/2008

The staff at Bend Veterinary Clinic are extremely helpful. I found the Veterinarians are knowledgeable, and up-to-date on any aspect of your pet. These Vet's know more about animals than any Vet I've ever seen. I highly recommend Bend Veterinary Clinic for any type of animal as they also specialize in wild animal care. Pros: Thumbs way up on the staff and Doctors at Bend Veterinary Clinic! more
