This is the absolute worst example of anything remotely resembling a Bank. No costumer service.. None at all. Never once has an issue been resolved at Any level, or have once anyone there cared... An insult to the American Taxpayers who SAVED Barclays from TOTAL desolution...... Barclays Bank of Deleware, YOU SUCK! Pros: There are none.. Cons: The lowest scum you can step in! more

consumer protection from Barclays Bank Delaware 5/26/2009

It is not the first time you or me are taken by a financial institution like Barclays Bank Delaware which is a former fist Bank and Juniper. It itself tells you why an institution changes their name rapidly because of the law suits or bankrupcy or scroupeluos business deals. When I applied so called, ""Gulf Master card"" I was exited that I am getting the rebate from them. Then, it truly showed up it's face that it is a bark ly bank delaware. Sudden increase finance charge, late fee, card protection fee are just the beginning of my problem with this card. After trying to be honest and fair to the credit card, not only the reps promissing to resolve the issue but on the top of it when you ask for the superviser, they say that the supervisor is not available and asks you to give your phone number and a supervisor will call you back within 24-48 hours. to your surprise not only the supervisor would not call you but the finance charges continue to be charged. and if one day you say that you will complain to bb, you end up here showing how good a bb in delaware works. Is any body care or can stop this nonsence. $152 is my baseless and so called legitimate charges that I have to pay so far. I have closed my account after receiving a letter from them that there was an inadvertent system error of increased finance charge. And even that only one month of adjustment to the finance charge was adjusted and they don't understand the basic finance. I know several of their bank were closed in New York while back. If I only knew that Gulf master card is from them I would never would deal with them. It is the waste of time and my pride. Pros: worst bank in town Cons: worst credit charge and service more

BIG bank with poor business sense! 5/14/2009

I went online to pay my monthly bill and noticed my APR had increased for 8.99% to 14.99%. When I called and questioned it, I was informed due to the economic situation the bank has decided to increase rates. Let me state this, account has NEVR been over limit, NEVER had a late payment, in fact I make double payments almost every month. This, I believe is exactly what is being discussed in D.C. and I will be taking it to my Congressman. What does the Bank think that they are having more of an economic hardship then their customers? I will pay this card off as fast and close the account and think every card holder should do the same. It is time for us to stand up for what is right and let Banks know we have had it! more
