Babe's Chicken Dinner House

This place is great! I've been to two of their locations and you won't find a better deal on great home cookin anywhere! Everything is served family style, and while not good for your waistline, it sure tastes good! Great for a fun night with a group of friends! Be prepared for a bit of a wait on a Saturday night, we just go knowing this in advance and sit outside and hang out for a while. It's a really fun, casual place and the food is totally worth the wait! more

After having much success with their Roanoke and Garland locations, the owners of Babe's Chicken Dinner House decided to expand in DFW and Burleson became the lucky owner of one of their 3 new locations (the others are Carrollton and Sanger). The legend of Babes echoes through out the metroplex and rightly so. Thanks to this Burleson location, those of us in Fort Worth no longer have to fight traffic to make it up to Roanoke for the best fried chicken in the south. The chicken fried steak is tremendous too. The family style service, huge portions, and byob, make this a great (and cheap) meal. The Burleson menu has been expanded from the original fried chicken or chicken fried steak to include catfish, baked chicken, and chicken tenders. All come with sides served family style: creamed corn, green beans, rolls, and mashed potatoes. If you want some southern cooking Babes Chicken Dinner House is the place to go. more
