I found this gem of a company years ago while looking to drive business to our clients? websites. BIZX was easy and professional and we were assigned an internal account executive (George N) who was on it --every call and email and concern was answered promptly. We were even given special access to log into a special part of their site that's dedicated to updates and real time traffic stats and accounting information which has been invaluable for assessing effectiveness of various campaigns for our clients. They have graphic design services at no additional cost which we used frequently for various web ad campaigns. This service saved us time money and internal resources. All of our banners were done beautifully and were live within the timeframe we were originally given. The quality of their work is unmatched in my opinion and most importantly, our clients are happy. Would definitely recommend to any firm or individual business looking for a viable and less expensive or just an additional option for their internet advertising. more

Worked here last year as a writer - my first job after college. It was chill. Very casual and low key work environment with emphasis on quality. It's a young crowd for the most part and everyone is into writing and creating. Work hours were flexible and best was working only 4 days a week in the summer. BIZX is a great place to gain experience writing for the web and a nice home for those interested in a web editing career. Highlights for me were.... Co-workers Flex Hours Casual dress Good exposure to web tools and technologies Low stress atmosphere I would have liked....higher salary. more

BizX is not a company I'd ever trust. I was an employee there and the web content produced is written by doing minimal research and pushing advertisers rather than on actual experience. For example, all those hotel pages? The writers describing them were basing it all off pictures and other people's reviews- NOT what they themselves experienced. They wrote to a word count and threw in tons of useless fluff so that they could keep their job. Expect the VoIP sites to push VoIP down your throat and tell you how great it is- and push advertisers some more. Read an article- how often do they NOT mention an advertiser? Right, hardly ever. Also, I would fully expect BizX to write their own positive reviews here under different accounts to drum up business (as another user says). My impression while working there is that they are a slimy slimy company- one I would never willingly work for again, no matter how desperate. Doing business with them is not advised, nor is working there if you can help it. I'm so happy I scored a job I actually enjoy, giving me the freedom to leave BizX far far behind. Their writers are under paid for the amount of boring crap they are expected to write on a daily basis- and there are approximately 7 or 8 real employees. The rest are interns. If you work here as an intern, don't expect to be offered a full time job. And do expect to work with spineless jellyfish who cower to the CEO's yells. Also expect same day firing for no apparent reason and always feeling like your on the verge of being fired. It's a miserable company. more

Long time customer of nyctourist and have always been happy with our ads. We don't spend alot of money for advertising because we are a small company but the ads have always produced for us. Anyway, the site has a completely new look now and we love it. The pricing guides and maps are great and our ads really pop on the new transportation page. Looks great. more

I worked at BIZX a few years ago in accounting when they were in La Jolla on Prospect. We had a stunning view from our patio overlooking the ocean. I posted a picture of the view. Miss those days and my coworkers. Looks like they've moved to San Diego. more

We've been up for about six months now and are definitely getting our moneys worth and more. Being inexperienced, we found our rep to be very helpful and the service to be straight forward. We have been a BIZX customer for over two years now and our experience has been extremely positive. We advertise our hotel on their New York nyctourist website and this generates more than half of the traffic to our website. So we are very pleased with the traffic and return on our advertising dollars and we also like the online account system that gives us visibility to our ad's performance real time. Because of this, we haven't needed to call customer service more than once or twice and when we did, our questions were answered immediately. BiZX has moved to Sorrento Valley, but their business ethic hasn't changed... Hired for a web development job, was fired after 3 days because I wasn't ""talented"" when they had seen my portfolio of work. The designer who created their company site was similarly canned, as well as their lead programmer (a position they are currently seeking to fill) and another web designer that was hired around the same time as myself. If you do accept a job here, expect to be harangued by bosses and work like a mule until they see fit to fire you (usually before the cutoff date for being offered benefits, coincidentally). I had a very bummer experience with Bizx, LLC. Be careful about the level of customer service. If you have any problems with them you can bet you will be met with sarcasim and the typical ""Oh I'm sorry he or she's not in"" or "" I'm sorry the person you need to speak to is out to lunch"" You will become so frustrated for ever doing any business with this company that you will think negotiating with the phone company is a picnic. more
