I test drove a car at Annapolis Honda and decided this was the car for my family. I asked for a quote, and it seemed a bit too high. I went home and sought other offers from other dealers via internet. I received a good offer and was prepared to purchase the car. Then my salesman from Annapolis Honda called and asked if he could match this lower offer. I said I would be happy to buy from him at the lower price. His manager agreed, and I was set to buy the car. The sales manager actually sent me the quote by fax with his signature on it. The very next day I was preparing to go to Annapolis Honda, and called ahead to let them know. The manager suddenly changed his tune, saying "I cannot do this deal" over and over. I calmly asked why, and he repeated again and again "I cannot do this deal," and when I asked why he sent me a signed (and detailed) quote when he couldn't do the deal, he just said "it would cost me something very valuable".
