Heard that a neighbor fell and wanted to say sorry to them. Also felt the need to add that this has been a really difficult winter proven by the fact that President Obama declared us a disaster area due to severe ice and snow related conditions. Having been in the community for over 18 years I feel it is not right or fair to bash owners, management, the company who snow plows or does trash removal etc. when they have been trying to deal with extreme situations. Have you read the paper or watched the news about all the problems in our area?? I think we live in a nice community and they do a good job. Amanda has been very kind to me and others feel the same way! more

I have lived in one of the parks that people are complaining about for a long time and I feel that things have improved since they took over. With all the snow that we had I feel that they have done the best they can do. When I was late paying my rent Amanda worked with me till I got caught up. I have lived in other parks that where not as good. Maybe theses people should talk to people from other parks and see how nice we have it. Some people even pay more rent than us plus pay for water and sewer. more

they might sell nice homes but they sure don't know how to manage a mobile home park!!!! Amanda is rude and has alienated every one in her parks. No one likes her cause of her attitude towards her lot renters. I fell under the front of my pick up truck and thought I broke something, it took me all I could do to get myself up cause we get 5-6 in thick ice in our parking places and she refuses to do anything. My hospital bill was over $2000 and all she said was good luck with that one, when I said I was going to a lawyer. She has the worse garbage men in here and they break your solar lights and throw your cans anywhere and they broke our cans. But she get the cheapest services she can get. When it snows we are lucky, she has someone make a single path thru the park and we must clear the rest our selves. A SINGLE PATH mind you.....We are senior citizens and can't afford to more on SS. Our home is paid for in 5 yrs. but we did try to sell it for 2 years but no one will sell it or buy it. I asked Amada to sell it and she said it would be a conflict of interest, she holds the note and she would get her money out of it, but she would sooner you walk away from your hard earned money and give it back so she can find another sucker to buy it...... I would recommend Akron Mobile Homes to anyone looking for good deal, great service and honest people. Tommy and Helen sold me my first home, and gave me a chance when no other businesses would sell me a home. My credit was bad but they believed in me and I will never forget it. I bought a second home from them and more recently my daughter got her first home from Amanda (Tom's daughter). They beat compeitors on Rt 30 by $8,000 and even did free delivery. How anyone could talk badly about this company and family is nonsense. Not a better business around! more

Would not recommend buying anything from here again. Bought a house cash from them with a bunch of promises.rented a private lot which they owned on fruitville pike. Im disabled i paid 83000.00 for home had a problem with ss they gave me 20000.00 to leave my home. if u want to get burned this is the place to go more

Many people in Ephrata Pa very upset with this company! TALK to MANY PEOPLE IN THEIR PARKS AND IN THE COMMUNITY ABOUT THEIR PAST BAD RECORD BEFORE YOU BUY ! My advice is stay away from their pressure and don't buy anything! Also they go by different names but they are located on Oregon Pike in Akron Pa. They were featured on Channel WGAL as one of the worst owners of trailer parks in the state ( they own some in Ephrata PA.) and you should STAY AWAY! more

I purchased my first home from Akron Mobile Homes 15 years ago and Tom, the owner was a pleasure to work with. He helped me get approved when no one else tried and helped me through the entire process. Last year, my son bought a house from Akron Mobile Homes and was so happy with the price! Tom's daughter is now managing the office and was a real sweetheart. I will reccomend this family business to everyone I talk to. Tom has passed and I pray he rests in peace! more
