I had a problem with my heater. They were very efficient about giving me suggestions, and offered to bring heaters out to my home since my auxiliary heat didn't work either. When they showed up to inspect the heat pump furnace they were very thorough. They went through everything and answered my questions. I was able to watch what they were doing which was very important to me. Step by step they took the customer through it with them, so if you had any questions they would answer anything. It was one of the best experiences I've had. more

Outstanding service from the first phone contact! 8/23/2012

Our air conditioner stopped working last Thursday, one of Beaverton's hottest days of the year. I was sure we would be added to a long wait list, but called Able Heating & Cooling, just in case. The young woman who answered the phone was professional and kind and told me that she was sure someone could come by that very afternoon. I was stunned. And she was right. Two wonderful people fixed the problem with both professionalism and expertise. I recommend them to you without reservation and I can't imagine going to anyone else when we need help in the future. more

Cancels Without Notice 7/9/2012

This company let us make an appointment then canceled on the appointment day. We made an appointment on Tuesday July 3rd for a tech. to look at our AC/Furnace on the 6th. The person who made the appointment with us was called Ollie. On the morning of the appointment, the company called to cancel. The weather had become hot and they said that they had customer emergencies to deal with. I explained that I had made my appointment well in advance, knowing that the weather was supposed to heat up. As it was nearly noon on a Friday, there was no way I could secure another appointment with a different company, and so I had to wait another week to have my unit serviced. We feel that this is extremely poor treatment. more

Easy to contact! 5/17/2012

I called Able Heating & Cooling LLC because I needed an estimate on a heat pump. They gave me the estimate, and they were easy to contact and get over to my house, as far as doing so very quickly. I called around to different places to compare prices, and Able Heating & Cooling was by far the lowest. If at all possible, use them. They're great! more

Able Heating & Cooling was on time and easy to schedule with. They called before each time they were supposed to show up and were early each time. They are very good at explaining the processes and the work they were doing. One time, they told me they needed to replace a part, but it turned out to be an alternate part and was actually cheaper than the estimate they gave me. It was an overall positive experience. more

Very accommodating! 12/20/2011

My furnace went out and it was freezing cold. I was looking around for people to come quickly, and most places quit working at 5. It was nice that Able Heating & Cooling LLC was able to stay later because I had work until 5. Able Heating & Cooling fixed it in about twenty minutes and was very accommodating. They were very nice and I would definitely Able Heating & Cooling LLC! more

Excellent help over a cold weekend 11/6/2011

Honest and informative. 11/2/2011

I had another company that was not necessarily a scam itself but they set you up with another company and suddenly everything was wrong with my heater and it was all expensive. My boss recommended I try out Able Heating & Cooling instead, so I went to them for a second opinion. I told the man from Able my story and I was going to hand him the paperwork from the other company but he told me he didn't even need to see it. He then explained the way that the other company works and how I got taken by them. I felt stupid when he explained it to me, but I was really happy that he did, because now I can explain this to a lot of my other single girlfriends and spread the word about those companies. I have issues with my air conditioner now, and I will definitely call Able to work on that too. M. Miller more

Able replaced an old A/C unit and even older gas furnace. The work was very professional and they did more than expected. Being an engineer and familiar with HVAC I am more critical than the average consumer. They did an excellent job of listening to what I wanted and then explaining what they were doing and how the equipment would perform better than my previous system. I always get at least 3 estimates on major repairs and they were very competitive and had the best product. I had the system installed on Friday and the compressor failed Saturday. They came out Sunday and replaced the entire unit on Monday. It has been working great ever since. Normally, having such an infant failure is not good, but the fact that they replaced the entire unit and not just the compressor showed that they are committed to quality and the fact they came out on Sunday and replace the unit Monday showed they are committed to excellence. Another thing that set them apart from the competition is that they registered my system and service contract with the manufacturer for me and provided me with all of the paperwork that I needed to file for rebates and tax incentives while others stated I was responsible for that. more

Able Heating & Cooling LLC was referred to us by a friend at work. They're just really courteous and respectful and I like that. My partner and I are gay, but they don't do any judging. They have really good pricing and are very fair. Kelly is amazing. He explains everything to a T and takes time out to answer any questions. They converted our system from oil to gas. If you're going to shop around, I would say to find somebody who you would be comfortable with having in your home. A few people had come in prior to finding Able Heating & Cooling but I did not like them. The people at Able Heating & Cooling are caring. They're installing an air conditioning unit as we speak! more

I have a commercial business. We have two HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) systems in the office building, which I own. Over the years, we've had problems with them. When I called Able Heating & Cooling LLC, they were here immediately and their technicians knew EXACTLY what they were doing. They found the problems right away, even though the systems were fifteen years old. When they fixed it, it stayed fixed. The people at Able Heating & Cooling LLC are clean and courteous. They've solved some serious problems in our systems and we're delighted with their service. We will ONLY go back to Able Heating & Cooling. Extremely responsive, reasonably priced, very conscientious in installation. 7/18/2011

I was experiencing an issue with my furnace, and didn't know what was going on or how serious the issue was. I called Able Heating and Cooling, and they were out a few hours later, even though it was the evening. The weather was threatening to turn bad, and I know the tech had had a long day, but he was still very pleasant and helpful. He checked the furnace over, and gave me a full assessment, along with his recommendations for how to handle the problem. He got me squared away for the evening, and they very next day was back to perform the repairs. They wanted to get my furnace up and running before the bad weather hit, and worked quickly and efficiently. Then, they made sure everything was working properly before charging me a penny. Everyone I dealt with was very nice and also knowledgeable. They cleaned up after themselves well, too. It was a very good experience, and I highly recommend them. I have I second furnace in my home, which Able will replace this summer. more

My heater had an obscure problem that had flummoxed 2 previous companies. Able was the third, and despite the difficulty, perservered and resolved the issue - it was an installation flaw (not their install). And at the end, the price was reasonable considering the time involved. more

On 1/9/2011,Sunday night around 9 pm,my heating finally stopp working.so,I found a website: http://www.servicemagic.com,and submit my repair request,just 5mins,a guy name:Kelly Wilhite from Able heating and cooling co, called me,and came to my house after 10 more mines, had checked the everything out,help me made the heating working again for this cold night.By 10:30 pm,on a Sunday night,he left. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT:HE DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR THAT SUNDAY NIGHT SERVICE!!!!! What a greatest person-Kelly Wilhite. more

Very satisfied. 8/27/2010

I used Able Heating and Cooling to put in a new gas furnace in January, and they just installed an air conditioning unit earlier this month. I called them again because I was very happy with the work they did the first time. The installation was neat and clean, the team cleaned up after themselves, and it was a complete job from start to finish. Kelly's follow-up was also good, calling back to make sure everything was satisfactory. I recommend them. more
