We are customers, not criminals.
Yet that is how our visit left us feeling. For my father's birthday present, he asked to see the lighting thief, and since we both prefer AMC Neshaminy mall we planned our day for there. I mean come on, it is cleaner than the others and the atmosphere is just all around better. That is until today. Today it became a very ugly place. We started off by getting a little something for us at the local food court (because dad is 70+ years old and really can't have the delicious junk food we can enjoy) and head over. The girl who was selling tickets seem more interested in staring at the wall than helping customers. I should have know first that this would not be well, second clue was when she sneered at me for forgetting the time. Whatever, it's for father. She sold us a tickets, laughed at us, then said we can't bring outside food into the movies. Again he's 70+ years old and survived cancer three frigging times,
HE CAN”T EAT THE PROVIDED FOOD!
So as we walk to our movies, she points us out and the other ticket guy shakes his head and laughs. Repeated what was said before. I repeat the above. I get more attitude. Sorry I thought I paid to see a movie, not to be mocked. We ask to ask a manager, because this is just down right rude. Dave, who was the manger, gave us a story about security and major events. This is a movie theater, not a airport. However, I would like to say that at least Dave was polite and respectful about things, his employees where not. So I give up, my father is getting aggravated which is mucho bad for his health.
We return our tickets and leave.
He still wants to see the movie.
Great now I look like an idiot buying the tickets again, at least this time there is no fuss about outside food. After of course the fact they their friends in with said food, so this rule only apply to non friends now? In any case, as we are finally let in and are walking back, the employees gather up, point at us and start laughing. I stop dead cold. Is this really how customers are treated? You laugh at them, you mock them? This is acceptable? I think not. I turn around and say “Really? If you have a problem say it to my face, not behind me”. Nothing, figures. So yea, father wants to see the movie and that's that. As we continue down the hall, there is another person falling us (he has keys so I assume its another manger) and they follow us into the movie till we sit down.
We are customers, not criminals.
Now your going to watch us to assure no outside food is brought in? What's next searching us? Is this really what we should come to expect from AMC now? I hope now, there are a lot of good movies coming out, and AMC Neshaminy is still the cleanest place around.
Pros: Still a very clean place
Cons: Rude employees who think YOUR the joke,
